Powerful blast outside Delhi high court, many injured
An explosion was reported outside Delhi high court gate number 5 on Wednesday morning. Many were reported to have been injured in the incident.

Notorious burglar who in order to evade arrest caused injury to constable with a knife, arrested
South District Police has arrested one notorious burglar who in order to evade arrest caused injuries to a Constable with the help of a knife. With his arrest, three incidents of burglaries/thefts have been solved and one digital camera, one moving external hard disk, one purse containing Visa/ATM Cards, Rs.430/- and one buttondar knife have been recovered.

INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST:
In order to check the increasing incidents of burglaries in various parts of Delhi and to arrest the criminals involved in these incidents, several teams were constituted in South District. A team of Police Station Malviya Nagar consisting of Inspr.Aishvir Singh, ASI Jagar Pal, Constables Mahesh, Hemant, Inderaj and Rustam under the supervision of Inspr. Jarnail Singh, SHO/Malviya Nagar and Sh. Mehar Singh, ACP/Hauz Khas was also formed to arrest the criminals involved in these incidents.
The team so formed worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals previously involved in such cases and activated their secret informers to develop information about the criminals involved in thes cases. On the night intervening 01/02.09.2010 while the team members were patrolling in the area of Sheikh Sarai Phase-II, one Shri Sanjay Verma r/o Seikh Sarai, Phase II, Malviya Nagar informed about presence of four persons in suspicious condition. Reacting on this information, the police team immediately surrounded the suspects. Seeing the police presence, all of them took out their knives and pointed out towards police party and started running away. The police team smartly and bravely acted and overpowered one of the criminals who was later on identified as Hussain s/o Alimiyan r/o H.No. D-I/806, Rajeev Nagar, Bhalaswa Dairy, Delhi, while the remaining criminals succeeded to escape away from the spot by taking advantage of the darkness after causing sharp injury to one Constable of P.S. Malviya Nagar with the help of a knife. A case vide FIR No.371/10 under section 186/353/332/457/380/411/511/34 IPC and 25/27/54/59 Arms Act was registered at P.S. Malviya Nagar in this regard.
INTERROGATION:
On the sustained interrogation it was revealed that Hussain, the leader of the gang had earlier been arrested in 2008 in police stations Samay Pur Badli in a house robbery case alongwith his six accomplices and after release from jail he started committing burglary and house theft in various parts of Delhi.
Stolen articiles i.e. one Digital Camera, one moving external Hard Disk, one ladies hand purse containing Visa, ATM Cards and Rs.430/-, have been recovered from him and raids are being conducted to arrest the absconding accused persons.
PROFILE AND MODUS OPERANDY:
Hussain was born at Calcutta. He is an illiterate and 18 years ago he came to Delhi and started doing job at Kabaries Godown. He came in contact with one Atiyar and formed a gang and started committing house robberies in the area of Samay Pur Badli.
RECOVERY:
1. one Digital Camera,
2. one moving external Hard Disk,
3. one ladies hand purse containing Visa,
4. Rs. 430/- and ATM Cards.
5. One buttondar knife.
Investigation is in progress and raids are being conducted to arrest the absconding accused persons.
Interstate gang of "luggage lifters" arrested by South District Police
With the arrest of two persons, the South District Police has busted an interstate gang of South Indian origin who were indulged in thefts from vehicles and shops by diverting attention of victims using women and minor children in the crime. With their arrest, 24 incidents of thefts, snatching, autolifting etc. have so far been solved and stolen property i.e. jewellery worth Rs. 2.50 lacs consisting of two gold chains, gold tops, laptop, stolen motorcycle etc. recovered. THE INCIDENT AND TEAM:
One Paramjit Singh R/o 1/16, East Patel Nagar, Delhi reported about burglary of Laptop, mobile phones, collection of coins, ornaments, some Dollars, cash and other articles from his house by trespassing on 26/05/2010 in the night time, Subsequently, a case was registered vide FIR No. 97/2010 at PS Ranjit Nagar, Delhi and investigation was taken up. A dedicated joint team of Special Staff and P.S. Ranjit Nagar consisting of SI Rajesh, ASI Rajinder, HC Brijpal, HC Yadram, and Ct Devender was constituted under the supervision of Inspr.
